Giroud is not just a coating from Tammy Abraham
Paris - Olivier Giroud still has big ambitions at Chelsea. The French striker did not want to accept heating.
Giroud has only started in four Chelsea matches in the English league. In total, he played only three times.
Giroud cannot compete with Tammy Abraham. Chelsea manager Frank Lampard more often passes the 21-year-old forward.
So far, Abraham has started three times since four appearances. He responded to Lampard's trust by scoring four goals.
But Giroud is not ready if he has to continue to be a reserve player. The 32-year-old footballer does not want to be second choice.
"Of course not, I have a goal in mind, I'm here to help a new generation, but the time for retirement has not yet arrived," Giroud told Le Figaro.
"I'm always hungry and ambitious, and I don't want to be Chelsea's second striker."
"The fact that I am here as a sister of a child does not mean I am just being sidelined," he added.
