Fast and Aggressive Smalling

When speaking at a press conference before the Derby della Capitale, AS Roma coach Paulo Fonseca explained why Roma brought in new defender Chris Smalling from Manchester United.

The della Capitale derby between Rome against Lazio will be held on Sunday (1/10) night, and although this time Lazio are the favorites to win, Fonseca believes that Roma must show their skills on the field.

Roma have long been looking for a new defender and the arrival of Smalling is expected to strengthen the back of the Fonseca squad. Smalling is a player who came from United, a club that has given him quality and valuable experience.

Fonseca also knows how important this derby is for Roma fans.
