Coutinho Cause Total Failure With El Barca
Philippe Coutinho was kidnapped by Barcelona from Liverpool, beating the club's transfer record (146 million pounds). Attached to a five-year contract, Coutinho failed to prove himself by completing a loan at Bayern Munich.
In his first six months, Coutinho scored 10 goals and 6 assists in 22 appearances. Coutinho, who started his first full season, played 54 times and only 11 goals and five assists.
His appearance automatically prompted many fans to criticize his performance. People assume that the price of a player does not match his contribution on the field.
Later, Barcelona captain Lionel Messi spoke of Coutinho's poor play with the Blaugrana. According to him, the Brazilian did not have the mentality to play with a club like Barca.
"I understand a bit why Coutinho failed to shine at Barca, playing at the biggest club in the world, like Barcelona, is not always easy, because every game is very demanding," Messi was quoted as saying by BT Sport.
After leaving for the Allianz Arena, Messi did not reject the loss of Coutinho on the Barca front line. With his skills, Messi hopes that Coutinho will succeed in the Bundesliga.
"Have we lost his figure, of course, he is he, he is a player with extraordinary abilities and can play many positions, and I hope he can succeed with his new team now," Messi said.
