Conte Becomes the Highest-paid Coach in the History of Serie A
The appointment of Antonio Conte as Inter Milan coach brings a new record. He became the highest paid coach in the history of series A.
Currently, Conte receives a salary of 11 million euros per season. This figure exceeds the record held by Massimiliano Allegri when guiding Juventus.
In addition, the salary earned by the former Juventus coach is also higher than the former Inter coach, Luciano Spalletti, who was paid 8 million euros last season.
The comparison between Conte's salary and that of other coaches in Italy is also very different. Maurizio Sarri of Juventus, who finished second, only received 5.5 million euros. In other words, the salary of the former Chelsea boss is only half that of the Juve legend.
Carlo Ancelotti in Naples, Sinisa MIHajlovic and Bologna, and new AS Roma captain Paulo Fonseca are in positions 3 through 5.
So far, the exorbitant salary of the former Italian national team coach at Giuseppe Meazza is directly proportional to his performance. In two Serie A matches, he led his club to the top with six points, two wins in two matches.
Conte is also considered to have improved the performance of two players who were considered exhausted last season, such as Andrea Ranocchia and Antonio Candreva. In addition, new players like Stefano Sensi, Romelu Lukaku and Nicolo Barella also contributed directly to Inter.
