Chelsea Still Not Consistent, Frank Lampard Asks Fans To Be Patient
A request was made by Frank Lampard to Chelsea lovers. He wants the Blues lovers to be patient if the performance of the Blues this season is still far from the word stable.
This summer Chelsea underwent a number of major changes. They officially moved the captain, where Frank Lampard came in to replace Maurizio Sarri who switched to Italy.
Of the four Chelsea inaugural matches at the EPL, the Blues' performance is still far from the word stable. They were only able to achieve one victory, where two other matches ended in a draw and one match ended with defeat.
Lampard himself admitted that his team was still in the process of transition. "We always want to be a competitive team, but we all have to be honest with the circumstances available in this team," Lampard told Goal International.
Lampard said that one of the causes of Chelsea's unstable performance was because they lost a number of key players this summer.
This situation became difficult because Lampard was not able to shop for their replacement because Chelsea got a transfer embargo sanction.
"This season, Eden has switched clubs, our two attackers [Morata and Higuain] have counted in moving, so we are short of strikers for this time."
Lampard said that at this time he was trying to patch the hole together with orbiting a number of young players.
But he wants all parties to be patient because it takes a while for the young players to feel the perseverance in their game.
So far there are some young players who feel they are showing a slick performance in the Blues squad.
There are Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount who performed neatly in the Chelsea attack line, when Christian Pulisic was considered to get a rhythm along with the Blues.
