Borussia Dortmund: Jadon Sancho a rejeté Manchester United
Jadon Sancho, Borussia Dortmund star, had refused to leave Manchester United earlier this year.
Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc confirmed that United had approached them to bring Sancho back to England earlier this year. As Metro exclusively said last January, the Red Devils continue to watch Sancho Bundesliga matches after leaving Manchester City and making it a transfer target this summer.
However, Dortmund refused to review United's offer and insisted on retaining the 19-year-old winger. Zorc also revealed that Sancho had also informed him that he did not want to be part of the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer team.
"Hot topics are Sancho and Manchester United, both in discussions with the club and when I meet with consultants," Zorc said in "Inside Borussia Dortmund".
"A meeting (about United's plan to bring Sancho) has taken place." "Manchester United invited a consultant, but as far as I know, the consultant told the club that we will not let our players go this summer. It doesn't matter how much they offer, nor do the players intend to travel this summer," Borussia Dortmund said.
In August, Die Borussen admitted to rejecting a large offer for Sacho earlier this year. However, at that time, Dortmund admitted that young players from the English national team would leave Signal Iduna Park.
Sancho, who joined Dortmund from Manchester City in 2017, continues to be the subject of transfer news linking his return to England. Especially after Manchester United wanted to take him home last June.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team is willing to pay 100 million pounds to Sancho. But, Dortmund refused to sell the star.
Hans-Joachim Watzke, CEO of Borussia Dortmund, refused to reveal which team was in contact with the Sancho transfer. But he admitted that the winger would eventually leave Westfalenstadion one day and not at this time.
