Basel feels like a scapegoat in Madrid, Zidane answered

Madrid
- Gareth Bale feels that he has always been a scapegoat for Real Madrid's bad actions. Coach Zinedine Zidane responded to Bale's hypothesis.

Bale said this in his interview with Sky Sports during the international break. He still feels stuck compared to other players if Madrid's performance declines.

Zidane even reluctantly wants to sell Bale in the transfer market last summer. However, Bale persisted because there was no club that dared to bring in and the crisis of the Madrid players.

"We are all responsible here for what we do, good or bad, we are all on the same boat and that will not change," Zidane said, quoted by Marca.

Basel has appeared in Madrid's first three matches this season. Wales scored two goals and one assist.

Bale scored twice against Villarreal to save Los Blancos from defeat before the international break. However, Bale's slick performance ended badly with a red card.

"I always say he's an amazing player, everyone knows the situation in the summer," Zidane said.

"He is now with us and I am happy, the same applies to the club and the fans and we must move forward now," he said.
