Always sick, Kompany was not present in his movement to testify
Vincent Kompany had to be sidelined during his testimony match with Manchester City. He is still recovering from a hamstring injury.
The Kompany match will bring together Manchester City Legends and Premier League All Stars. This match took place at the Etihad Stadium on Thursday 12/09/2019, early morning.
Former players of former citizens such as Mario Balotelli, Kolo Toure, Craig Bellamy and James Milner will appear to defend Manchester City Legends. They have another chance to wear Manchester blue suits in this fight.
Meanwhile, the Premier League All Stars XI will be filled with some big names in the history of the English League. Thierry Henry, Robin van Persie, Cesc Fabregras, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, and some of the '92' class names' Manchester United will return to playing on the field.
50,000 tickets have been sold. City fans eagerly await the appearance of the former captain in a Manchester City costume at the Etihad Stadium.
But this hope must be disappointed before the match. Before the testimony match, Kompany announced that he was forced to skip the match because he was still recovering from a thigh injury.
"Unfortunately, I will not play, this is really me, I have a slight hamstring injury," Kompany was quoted as saying by the BBC.
"There are still some extraordinary players to watch and this is a matter of celebration and separation, I don't even need to compete on the field," the Belgian added.
