Wenger wants to form a national team at the 2022 World Cup

Doha - Arsene Wenger said he would not retire in the near future. Because, Wenger aims to manage the national team at the 2022 World Cup.

Wenger hasn't trained since retiring from Arsenal at the end of the 2017/2018 season. During a year of unemployment, it is not uncommon for Wenger's name to be mentioned as a potential coach for Bayern Munich, Juventus, Real Madrid, Newcastle United and even Manchester United.

But, Wenger chose to reject the offer because he said he still wanted to rest. Because 22 years as Arsenal manager has taken a lot of time and that Wenger wants to enjoy his life now.

However, that does not mean that Wenger will now quit football. Because, he still missed the atmosphere and did not rule out the possibility in the near future will practice again.

Wenger's goal is to be able to manage the selection of the national team at the 2022 World Cup. This is almost just a big tournament that Wenger has never experienced in his career.

"I still want to practice again," said Wenger to become IN Sports.

"I still have a lot of time and distance from my last job, so I have another perspective, and I will not reject it," he continued.

"I always say that I want to train at the World Cup because I think it's the most important coach's job when the best players in the world play in the same competition."

"I hope you can see me playing Qatar in three years," he said.
