Insigne Finally Dismissed The Italian national team
Lorenzo Insigne was forced out of the Italian national team squad due to a muscle injury. He added to the list of GLI Azzurri players who were absent from international parties.
Insigne suffered a muscle problem when Napoli met Juventus last weekend. However, he still managed to train with the Italian national team in training camp on Monday (2/9/2019).
The Italian football federation (FIGC) has announced that the 28-year-old is returned to Napoli for recovery. As a result, Insigne must pass two 2020 European Cup Qualifiers to face Armenia (5/9) and Finland (9/9).
The Napoli player's position in Roberto Mancini's squad will be replaced by SC Freiburg striker Vincenzo Grifo. The 26-year-old has only posted one caps with the Italian national team in 2018.
Insigne added a row of Italian national team players who had to be absent due to injury. Previously there were Giorgio Chiellini, Mattia De Sciglio, and Bryan Cristante.
The three players were then replaced by other players to fill positions in the national team. Mancini also called Francesco Acerbi, Danilo D'Ambrosio, and Sandro Tonali.
