Tired of being a Reserve, Rojo Insisted on Leaving Man United in January
Argentine defender Marcos Rojo wants to leave Manchester United in January. He is afraid of losing his position on the tango team if he continues to be a backup at Old Trafford.
"I spoke with Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni, who told me he was happy because during pre-season, I played a lot of games, it looked good and that's why he called me, but I have to play now, I'm sure to play with the national team, you "You have to play for your club, you must always be there and when you are here, explain because of that," Rojo said Soccerway.
"It's hard to move when you are at a big club like United, I can go to Everton, but because of the club's decision or manager, it's impossible. I have to fight until December and if that doesn't work, I will try to leave United."
This summer, United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plans to reduce his center back. That's because they now have seven central defenders on their team. Rojo is one of the names known for sale. But Chris Smalling was released by AS Roma.
Although unable to move, Rojo said that he still had to leave in January and enjoy regular flight hours. If not, his position in the Argentine national team will be threatened.
"The qualifications for the World Cup and the Copa America are getting closer and I want to be a part of it, I don't want to go out anymore, I want to reach all possibilities and compete to be here," he said.
