Success Samai Casillas, Ramos Now Target New Records
Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has admitted that he now wants to set a record of 200 international appearances after equating Iker Casillas's nick.
Ramos has joined the Spanish national team for the Euro 2020 Group F qualifier against the Faroe Islands. In the match at El Molinon, La Roja was indeed 4-0.
This victory allows Spain to record a perfect record of six matches to date. Now they are ranked first in group F with a score of 18 points.
They are seven points ahead of the second-ranked team, Sweden. After that, on the seventh day, Spain will fight Norway.
The match against the Faroe Islands has become a special match for Ramos. Because he managed to match the number of Casillas appearance with the Spanish national team.
So far, he has appeared 167 times for Spain. With Casillas, he is now the player with the most choices with La Roja.
But Ramos wants to continue this momentum. He wants to record more choices with the Spanish national team.
"The record is there to beat, I hope momentum, enthusiasm and ambition always accompany me and I reach 200 matches, which is the goal, you have to make things difficult." Ramos, reported by the United States.
