Smalling Has Determined a Long-Term Future
Chris Smalling can predict the long-term future for him in Serie A if his loan in Rome from Manchester United is according to plan. Indeed the plan, if Rome is interested it will buy permanently.
The 29-year-old defender who used to play at Old Trafford prefers to play at the Stadio Olimpico after leaving the first team picture at United.
The arrival of Harry Maguire made the former Red Devils center back knocked out and had no hope of returning to Old Trafford. While this is indeed, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still has full control to mix the players.
Finally, AS Roma offered a way out by offering Smalling to the Stadio Olimpico. But until now, Smalling still does not know whether this is just a temporary or permanent savior.
"I think this is an opportunity that comes to me that I am very interested in, and I really want to come," Smalling said.
"It happened very fast. I was very focused on the next match, accelerating with training and learning the methods given by the manager. And hopefully I want to have a very good season. After that, we will see.
"To have a chance at a big club, if it goes well and the club is happy and I'm happy, then I can certainly see a long-term future in Italy
