After the last few days was widely reportedly moved closer to the Serie A club, AS Roma, finally Atletico Madrid's marginalized striker Nikola Kalinic was ready to leave Wanda Metropolitano and immediately headed for the Olimpico before the closing of the transfer market this summer.
The Croatian striker is not included in Diego Simeone's choice squad who spent the preseason and then toured in the United States and Mexico. Kalinic will join Roma on loan at first and the Italian club has the opportunity to recruit him permanently with a transfer value of seven to eight million Euros (around Rp. 112 to 128 Billion) at the end of the season.
Kalinic's transfer process was hastened because Patrik Schick had moved closer to RB Leipzig so there was an empty spot in the striker's position in the Giallorossi squad. The Croatian did train with his team-mates at Atletico on Saturday at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano, but did not complete the session after hearing the news that his loan to Rome had been completed.

Atletico Madrid are likely to end their activities in the transfer market this summer by releasing Kalinic who was not included in Simeone's plans this season, even though at the end of Los Colchoneros it was widely associated with the transfer of Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi who refused to move to Monaco. Atleti is rumored to be borrowing the services of the Argentine player.

While Los Rojiblancos are preparing to host Eibar on Sunday evening local time, Roma will play derby della capitale against Lazio at the Olimpico.
