New Valencia Coach Admits Ready to Face Big Challenges
After firing Marcelino from the coach's seat, Valencia moved quickly. Former Real Madrid player Albert Celades was appointed as the new tactician. The coach also claimed to be happy to join Valencia.
"Valencia is one of the big teams. They are giants. But I'm not afraid of the burden imposed on me. Joining a big team will indeed cause concern. But I don't care, "Celades told Marca.
He also admitted he was in a difficult situation after replacing the role of Marcelino, who successfully led the club to stay at the top of the board. Specials, Marcelino also successfully brought Valencia won the Copa del Rey last season.
"I know the situation is difficult. Players certainly get more than the previous coach. but I'm here with my independence. They will certainly respect you, "he added.
In the last two seasons, Valencia has successfully broken into the Champions League. However, Celades claimed he did not want to give more targets to the club and remained objective in determining future steps.
"In essence, the club's objective target is always to win the match. That certainly goes normal for a team as big as Valencia. We cannot deny that, "he concluded.
In his coaching career, Celades was the first time to set foot in the managerial field. His tactics will be tested this weekend when they host Barcelona at Camp Nou on 15 September
