Milan and Frankfurt borrow from each other, Silva swaps Rebic
Milan - AC Milan and Eintracht Frankfurt officially exchanged their players on loan. The Rossoneri handed Andre Silva, while Frankfurt surrendered Ante Rebic.
Certainty was announced by Milan and Frankfurt on their respective official sites, less than two hours before the closing of the summer transfer market on Tuesday (2/9/2019).
Silva and Rebic both underwent medical tests. Milan have also given a Rebic loan agreement to the Lega Serie A authorities, so they can be registered immediately.
It is feared that the loan will be canceled because Silva failed a medical, his knee is not in good condition. But Frankfurt is still on loan because he needs a new striker to replace Luka Jovic and Sebastian Haller, who are already gone.
Initially, the two teams agreed to borrow for one season and a permanent option of 25 million euros at the end of the season. But, the agreement runs for two years without a permanent contract.
Rebic is no stranger to Serie A because he played at Fiorentina from 2013 to 2018. But his career has not been successful and has been largely loaned, including the last three years at Frankfurt.
During strengthening Frankfurt, he scored 25 goals in 93 participation. Meanwhile, Silva has no chance to show off in Milan because he has to take a second loan.
Last season, Silva scored 11 goals in 40 matches with Sevilla. Silva certainly hopes that his career can become even more extraordinary at the German club.
