Barcelona extended Rafinha's contract, then borrowed from Celta
Barcelona lent Rafinha to Celta Vigo. Rafinha will benefit from a one-season loan period.
Before lending Rafinha, Barca first extended the midfielder's 26-year contract by one year. Barca has been the owner of Rafinha until the end of the 2020-2021 season.
In Celta, Rafinha will receive a salary of 1.5 million euros per year, as well as bonuses.
"FC Barcelona would like to express his gratitude openly to Rafinha for his commitment and dedication, and wish every success for him to continue to succeed," Barca wrote in a statement on the club's official website.
Rafinha is a graduate of La Masia. He was promoted to the first team in 2011.
Celta is no stranger to Rafinha. He played on loan during the 2013/2014 season with a total of 33 players.
