Attacking the crisis, Barcelona even loaned Rafinha to Celta

Barcelona - Barcelona in crisis. But that didn't stop Los Cules from lending (again) Rafinha to another club. This time, Celta Vigo.

Barcelona has a bad start to the season with four points in three matches. That can not be separated from the hurricane injury on their front lines after Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele injured together.

So only Antoine Griezmann, the senior striker that Barcelona relied on. In addition, Barcelona relies on Carles Perez and Rafinha, two players graduated from La Masia, in the first three matches.

But Perez will be retained at Barcelona this season after deciding to loan Rafinha to another club. The Brazilian striker will spend the rest of the 2019/2020 season with Celta Vigo, after extending his contract at Barcelona until 2021 Monday (2/9/2019), local time.

Celta has no permanent option in the loan contract and must pay a player salary of around 1.5 million euros per season. Rafinha recovered from a knee ligament injury that forced him to be absent since November 2018.

The 26-year-old has indeed not progressed much with Barcelona since his debut in 2011. He has performed only 90 times with a score of 12 goals and was also loaned to Inter Milan in January 2018 but nothing has been permanent.

Celta is not a new club for Rafinha because he has spent the loan period in 2013/2014. At that time, Celta was still coached by Luis Enrique and Rafinha scored four goals in 33 appearances.
