Officially in Rome, Kalinic: this club is rich in history

Rome - AS Roma officially got Nikola Kalinic from Atletico Madrid. He became the ninth rookie of the Giallorossi in the transfer market this summer.

The transfer of Kalinic was announced by Rome through their official website. He Luppi gave him the name of a loan player for one season until June 2020.

Rome must spend 2 million euros (31 billion rupees) to borrow 31 players this year. In the loan agreement, they also have the option to retain Kalinic with a transfer value of 9 million euros (140 billion rupees).

Kalinic is proud to join Capital Wolf. According to him, Rome is a great team that has a long history.

"This cannot be trusted, because I joined a big club," Kalinic said on the official Rome website.

"I am proud to be part of this team and this club, Rome has a long history and I am very happy to be here," he said.

Series A is not a foreign league for Kalinic. He previously defended Fiorentina and AC Milan from 2017 to 2018.

Together with the two clubs, he has recorded 100 appearances in Serie A with a score of 33 goals. Last season, Kalinic decided to move to Atletico.

But in this Spanish capital club, Kalinic failed. He only scored four goals in 24 matches with Los Rojiblancos.

Kalinic has become Rome's ninth record in the transfer market this summer. Previously, they had brought Davide Zappacosta, Gianluca Mancini, Jordan Vertout, Chris Smalling, Mert Cetin, Amadou Diawara, Pau Lopez and Leonardo Spinnazolla.
