Lingard also has a Verratti jersey. The jersey he received was number 8 from the Italian national team.
Lingard said he greatly admired Verratti's abilities. As a result, he felt the need to exchange shirts with him.
"I've always loved Verratti as a player, he's a good player," he said on his Youtube account.
"I always loved him as a player, I had to wear a jersey," Lingard said.
"He has a low center of gravity and it's hard to let go of the ball, he's [a smart player]," he said.
Jersey number 7
Previously, there was news that Lingard wanted to change his jersey number. Meanwhile, he often uses number 14.
But now he wants to wear jersey number 7. The number itself is no man's land this season after Alexis Sanchez's transfer to Inter Milan.
This news was reported by the host of Astro Stadium Michelle Lee. He even claimed that Lingard had met Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to send a proposal to him.
