The name Llorente then appears as a target of Naples. The Spanish striker began to be tied to Naples after an attempt to put Mauro Icardi to no avail.
On the last day of the transfer market, Monday (02/09/2019), Napoli announced the transfer of Llorente. According to Italian football, the former Athletic Bilbao player signed a two-year contract.
Llorente benefited from a free transfer after the end of his contract with Tottenham Hotspur, in June 2019. By strengthening Tottenham for an hour in 2017, Llorente scored 13 goals in 66 appearances, in all competitions.
The Italian League is also not a new competition for Llorente. He has grazed with Juventus in 2013-2015 and scored 27 goals.
Llorente is expected to receive 2.5 million euros in Naples. The 34-year-old striker will strengthen the Napoli line, reinforced by names such as Jose Callejon, Dries Mertens, Lorenzo Insigne and Hirving Lozano, recently recruited at PSV.
