England: strong front, fragile back

Southampton - England have recorded victories over Kosovo at the European Qualifying Championships for 2020. Despite the win over England, Gareth Southgate has highlighted errors at the bottom line.

England entertain Kosovo in St. Mary's, Southampton, Tuesday (11/09/2019), very early in the morning. Rain of goals, the match ended with a score of 5-3 for the victory of the Three Lions.

In that match, England were shocked by Kosovo Velon Berisha's goal in the first minute. Goal creation is inseparable from Michael Keane's mistake by passing the ball to his own defense.

Despite rising five goals at once, England conceded two quick goals in the second half. One of them was created by a penalty after a violation committed by Harry Maguire.

Southgate was pleased with the appearance of the British attack line. But he is worried about the mistakes made by his team's defense.

"What a strange match," Southgate said, reported by Reuters.

"A bad mistake for his goal, but very happy with the calm we showed after the initial error with a very effective attacking game."

"The error is clear, we need to be better, the players don't need me to talk about it, we already mentioned it."

"The extraordinary part of our game is clearly visible and the mistakes are also clear," he said.

By beating Kosovo, England are still perfect in Group A, qualifying for the 2020 European Cup. Harry Kane and the others lead the standings with 12 points in four matches.
