Chelsea without 8 players when they travel to Wolves

Chelsea will likely play without eight of its employees at home to Wolves on Saturday (9/14) this weekend.

This condition is certainly quite confusing the coach, Frank Lampard, especially in terms of player selection. The match against Wolves will be the first match after this month's international break. The Blues certainly want to restart their struggle to secure positive results and build momentum at the start of the season.

After only pocketing five points in the opening four games of the Premier League this season, Lampard hopes his squad can be more advanced to defend themselves in the fight to finish in the top four at the end of the season.

The struggle will once again begin with an away match - which will certainly take place difficult and fierce - to Molineux this weekend. But, yet Lampard has been confused with the absence of up to eight players ahead of the match.
According to a report by The Sun reported by Caughtoffside.com, up to eight Blues players are doubtful playing against Wolves. They are Emerson Palmieri, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Callum Hudson-Odoi, N'Golo Kante, Antonio Rudiger, Reece James, Pedro and Mateo Kovacic.

The Chelsea players are all facing fitness problems. Some of them have been absent for a long time, while others have not been around too long or have just been injured.

However, according to Sky Sports, Emerson himself has corrected a report that states that he experienced a serious problem when he was defending the Italian national team. Coach Frank Lampard's favorite player said he only experienced minor problems that are expected to have recovered before the match against Wolves.

While some long-term injury problems have kept a number of players pulled over this new season, the Blues have had to put several players in their treatment rooms due to new injuries. Of course, this is a concern for the Blues and Lampard, because they also have to get ready to start the Champions League group qualification next week.

Given the transfer ban imposed by Fifa on Stamford Bridge, the Blues have been forced to play the same squad this year for most of the competition they are in, including the Champions League which they will return to live again.

Unable to bring in reinforcements this summer, the last thing Lampard faced at every stage of the season was the injury crisis of his players. Luckily for the 41-year-old Chelsea coach, like the injured Blues players have had a break during the past week.

Lampard was very hopeful, some players who were originally questioned could pass a medical test ahead of the game later this weekend. But, only time will determine whether they really get the green light from the medical staff to play in Wolves cage.
