Cagliari v Inter Milan: Lukaku makes another goal, Nerazzurri wins again

Inter Milan won again in the Italian League. A visit to Cagliari, the Nerazzurri won 2-1 thanks to the decisive goal scored by Romelu Lukaku.

Antonio Conte duets Lukaku with Lautaro Martinez in the second week of the Italian League, when they visit the Sardegna Arena on Monday (2/9/2019). Both of these forwards scored one goal each to give Inter a win.

Lautaro first listed his name on the scoreboard on the 27th minute, which was then equated by Joao Pedro on the 50th minute. It was Lukaku who was the winner of Inter's victory when he perfectly executed a penalty on 72 minutes.

This is Lukaku's second goal for Inter in the official event after being carried off from Manchester United. The Belgian striker also scored in the first week against Lecce.

For the results of this match, Inter are still attached to Juventus at the top of the Italian League standings with six points. While Cagliari is on the edge of the relegation zone.

The course of the match

Not many opportunities were created by Cagliari and Inter in the early minutes of the match. Until the 20th minute the hosts had two shots fired by Radja Nainggolan and Nahitan Nandez, but none of them really threatened Samir Handanovic's goal.

Until finally in the 27th minute Lautaro Martínez shook Cagliari's goal. The striker grabbed a cross that was released by Stefano Sensi and directed it at the far post so it was difficult for goalkeeper Robin Olsen to reach.

The goal was canceled by the referee because Lautaro was considered offside. But then it was re-endorsed after the referee got help from VAR.

In the 33rd minute the hosts almost equalized, but Luca Pellegrini's effort when grabbing the ball released by Joao Pedro was too weak to be easily anticipated by Handanovic.

Four minutes before halftime Calgliari again threatens Inter's goal. Nainggolan released a long-range shot that hit Andrea Ranocchia's leg and caused the ball to fall into Pedro's leg. He then fired a short pass at Cerri, but from close range his shot went wide.

The second half runs five minutes, Cagliari finally able to equalize. Pedro breaks through the Inter goal after welcoming the ball released by Nandez.

As a result of a violation committed by Nainggolan, Inter got a free kick on the face of the penalty box in the 60th minute. From that opportunity, Sensi's shot almost put Inter back into the lead. It's just that the ball he is still hitting the crossbar.

Lukaku who advanced as executor coldly completed his task. His shot was not too tight to the lower right side failed to read the goalkeeper. Inter are now 2-1 up ahead.
