Benzema recalls the BBC's Trident

Karim Benzema enters his 10th year at Real Madrid. Benzema discusses the role of the BBC trio: Benzema-Gareth Bale-Cristiano Ronaldo.
The deadly trident was formed since Bale joined Madrid in the summer of 2013. For five seasons, the BBC became a barn of goals for Los Blancos to win a LaLiga and Copa del Rey titles, as well as four Champions League championship titles.

The French striker has terms intended for two of his tandem. In addition Benzema revealed that he was the one who made the BBC successful.

"You have a rocket that is Bale and a goalscorer, that is Cristiano, and then you have me who will be among them, the one who manages to succeed," Benzema told RMC Sport.

Benzema has played in more than 450 matches for Madrid with a contribution of 228 goals and 121 assists. The BBC trio officially broke up after Ronaldo left Madrid to join Juventus in the summer of last year

In Lyon I am a finisher, and the finisher here is Ronaldo, I play another role with him, "Benzema continued." I did score a lot, but I was involved more in building attacks, movements, trying to open up space.

"For me just because you are number 9, that doesn't mean you have to be a goal scorer. This is a different style of play.

Before that, number 9 was always a goal scorer at Real Madrid, but here a winger came in, and I moved to open the gap so he could score. "
