Zidane in Vinicus: Relax in Madrid

Vinicius Junior revealed that Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane had asked him to relax and continue to grow. Zidane thinks that Vinicius has a long career in Madrid.

Vinicius is a Brazilian striker from the Madrid Academy. But his professional career was made with Flamengo in 2017.

After a year in the Brazilian League, Vinicius was brought back by Los Blancos. During the 2018/2019 season, he played for Real Madrid Castilla and the senior team.

In Madrid, the 19-year-old striker did not have the chance to play regularly in the senior team in his first season. In total, there are only 18 matches in La Liga.

For this season, Vinicius has always recorded in Madrid's first three matches: one to start and two to replace. No goals have been scored in 118 minutes.

"Zidane always told me to relax and continue to grow, I was treated well by everyone and he said I would play in Madrid for a long time," Vinicius told Fox Sports.

Vinicius could be the successor to Marcelo and Casemiro as a longtime Brazilian player in Madrid. Marcelo has been wearing an El Real costume since 2007 and Casemiro since 2013.

"Just like Marcelo and Casemiro, who have been in Madrid for a long time," he said.
