The Belgian head believes that Lukaku will not be affected by racism
Belgian head Roberto Martínez talks about racism in Romelu Lukaku. According to him, racist treatment will not affect the Inter Milan striker.
Lukaku was a victim of racism while playing in Cagliari. When the criminal shots will be taken, there is a group of fans who imitate the sounds of monkeys.
Lukaku claimed to be fed up with such actions. Inter coach Antonio Conte also criticized the fans' negative behavior. Also, this is not the first time this has happened.
But Inter fans who are members of the Nord Curve sector provide defense for the action of Cagliari fans. They consider it natural because the followers really want to break down the mentality of the opponent and do not intend to act racist.
Not affected
Of course, Martinez deeply regrets the case of racism that has happened to Lukaku lately. However, the former Everton manager believes that racism will not affect Lukaku.
"Romelu is not affected. He is one of the most excited children you can see. His life is football, he lives to score goals. Therefore, I have not seen the difference," Martinez said, according to talkSPORT.
"It is true that he is sad about the episodes he has to go through, but I'm sure everyone in football will try to help him and, hopefully, the people who handle football will delete them."
Shine again
Lukaku has always scored in the last two Serie A matches with Inter. Martinez felt that the player shone again after two disappointing years at Old Trafford.
"At the camp in June I saw Romelu free on the field and looking great, but I was quite worried," he continued.
"This is the first time I've seen him happy again. He is very focused and feels new with his new challenges."
