Severe accident at Belgian F2 takes the life of Anthoine Hubert

Severe accidents occurred at the Belgian F2 event at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. This incident resulted in the rider Anthoine Hubert died.

But one and a half hours after the incident, Hubert died. This sad news was delivered by the International Automotive Federation (FIA).

"The Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) with grief told us that a serious incident involving car number 12, number 19 and number 20 occurred at 17:07, Saturday (31/08/19). This incident occurred in the Race "Formula FIA 2 at Spa-Francorchamps, in the 17th series of the season," explained the FIA ​​quoted from Independent.

"After that incident medical crews and emergency officers came to help. All drivers were taken to the medical center."

"As a result of the incident, the FIA ​​was very sorry to have to inform that the car driver number 19, Antoine Hubert died of injury at 18:35," he explained.
The FIA ​​also added that Correa's current condition is quite stable. They reportedly have started an investigation related to this incident.

"Car driver number 12, Juan-Manuel Correa is in stable condition and is being treated at Liege CHU hospital. More information about his condition will be reported soon," explained the FIA.

"Car driver number 20 Giuliano Alesi has conducted an examination at the health center and was declared fit. The FIA ​​provided support to the event organizer and related authorities, and has begun an investigation into the incident."

Because of this accident, the feature race was immediately canceled and so was the sprint race on Sunday (1/9/2019).
