Neymar did not join Barcelona, Messi: no problem
Lionel Messi does not question Barcelona's failure to bring Neymar Jr. in the 2019 summer transfer window. La Pulga, Messi's nickname, acknowledged, although not reinforced by Neymar, Barcelona is still scary.
Throughout the summer transfer window of 2019, Barcelona continued to be linked with Neymar. A series of offers reportedly were made by Barcelona management to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) as the owner of the Brazilian soccer player.
However, until the 2019 summer transfer window closes on Monday, September 2, 2019, Neymar will remain at the Stade Parc des Princes. To be honest, Messi has the desire to see Neymar return to play with Barcelona, as in the 2013-2017 period.
Even so, Messi does not want to regret Barcelona's failure to bring Neymar. Because, Barcelona has a series of extraordinary players on the front lines such as Luis Suarez, Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele. Not to mention the two young players who are ready to explode, namely Carles Perez and Ansu Fati.
"I am not disappointed (Barcelona did not get Neymar). Because we have a spectacular army that can compete for everything, even without Neymar," Messi said, quoting Marca, Thursday (12/09/2019).
It's just that, Messi's statement has not been fully tested at the start of the 2019-2020 season. Because, from three matches in the 2019-2020 Spanish League, Barcelona are still stuck in eighth place with a collection of four points, five points floating from Atlético Madrid at the top of the standings.
