The new Madrid goalkeeper, Alphonse Areola, has announced his ambition to follow in the footsteps of his idol, who is also the legendary Los Blancos goalkeeper Iker Casillas.

Areola was loaned for one season at Real Madrid by PSG. That is part of the agreement on the transfer of Keylor Navas from Madrid to Paris.

At Real Madrid, Areola is considered only a cover for the main goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois. However, the 26-year-old goalkeeper did not report problems with this status.
