Great Potential, Joao Felix Has a Bright Future
Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas predicted that Joao Felix would become a new star in La Liga. In his eyes, Felis had golden talent.
"Felix is a player with a great future. He has talent. Of course, they will demand a lot from him," Casillas said at Soccerway.
"Responsibility comes at the price they pay. He knows he has to join a club that wants the title, and more, people can see replacing Antoine Griezmann," Casillas said.
Joao Felix joined Atletico Madrid this summer from Benfica. The La Liga club must pay 126 million euros (around 1.9 billion USD) to bring players to Wanda Metropolitano.
With the transfer, Joao Felix Atletico is listed as the most expensive player of all time. Not only that, the Portugal international also became the fourth most expensive player in the world.
According to Casillas, Felix has great potential. He also believes the 19-year-old will be Atletico Madrid's new icon.
Felix himself has defended Atletico Madrid in four matches in La Liga this season. He also contributed goals and assists.
