Inter Milan players play ugly in Slavic Prague matches
Inter Milan had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Slavia Prague on the first day of the Champions League group stage at the San Siro on Wednesday (09/18 2019). This draw made Inter Milan coach Antonio Conte very disappointed.
According to Conte, all Inter players play below the standard. He will not identify the players who played poorly in the match against Slavia Prague.
"I will not talk about people who play poorly. The whole team is playing well below current standards. It is my responsibility and my duty to play better," Conte was quoted as saying by Football5star.com on the club's official page.
Conte acknowledged that the game showing children in fighting Slavai Prague was not the game he wanted. Conte said that players bet without characters.
"This is not the football program we want and that is why we need training. We need to improve the character of the game," added Conte.
However, the former Chelsea coach asked his players to remain calm and focus on the next match in the AC Milan Serie A in the Milan derby.
"Players must stay calm. This is a normal result when you want to grow and develop as a team," he said.
