Emery Actually Wants Niah to Survive at Arsenal

Eddie Nketiah admitted Unai Emery wanted him to stay at Arsenal this season. However, Nketiah ignored the request from the manager.  Nketiah showed a very impressive performance during the Arsenal pre-season program. However, the player then has no place in the Gunners' first team this season  Nketiah finally decided to leave the Emirates Stadium in the transfer market this summer. The 20-year-old striker was on loan at Leeds United for one season.  Nketiah has scored three goals in five appearances for Leeds. Meanwhile, he also scored two goals for England's Under-21 team against Turkey on Friday night.  Nketiah said that Emery did not want him to leave the club this summer. However, he felt that he had to leave the club for a while.  "The manager wants me to stay afloat so it really increases my confidence because I am in the plan," Nketiah told the Daily Mail.  "But I feel it was a good step for me to come to Leeds. I hope this is a good year so that I can return to Arsenal to fight for a place."  Nketiah revealed that he got many offers to leave the club, including from Germany. However, he felt that Leeds was the best place for him.  "There are many options, there are options for me to go to Germany but me, my family and the club decide Leeds is the best place,"
