Blessure Pogba, France Call Guendouzi

Paris - Didier Deschamps has decided to call Matteo Guendouzi on the French national team before the Euro 2020 qualifiers. He replaces Paul Pogba, who suffered an ankle injury.

The decision to call Guendouzi was announced by the French national team through his Twitter account. The 20-year-old player has been integrated into the Blues team to face Albania (09/09/2019) and Andorra (09/10/2019).

"Because of an ankle injury, @paulpogba has been replaced by @MatteoGuendouzi for matches against Albania and Andorra on September 7 and 10 at the Stade de France. Good luck, Paul," wrote a Twitter account from the French national team.

Pogba limped in the last minute when Manchester United drew 1-1 at Southampton (9/31). Although in the match, he was able to play for 90 minutes.

The following day's exam results showed that the 26-year-old injured his ankle. This makes it impossible for Pogba to compete with the French national team.

As for Guendouzi, he was named for the first time in the French national team. The Arsenal midfielder was previously a member of the Rooster junior team. The Poissy-born player defends France U-18, U-19, U-20 and U-21.
