The weak point of Man United's back line was offered a contract extension

Man United plans to extend the player's contract which is recognized as a weak point behind the team nicknamed the Red Devils. Victor Lindelof received an offer to extend the contract until 2025.

Quoted from the Daily Mail, Friday (09/13/2019) reportedly wants a contract extension for Lindelof reportedly in accordance with the wishes of Ole Gunnar Solskajer. The Norwegian coach wants to ignite a strong foundation on Man United's back line.

Chris Smailling's departure to AS Roma triggered Lindelof to become a pedestal in the heart of defense with English League's most expensive defender Hary Maguire. Unfortunately the appearance of both of them is still not coherent.

Especially for Lindelof, former Red Devils defender Rio Ferdinand had mentioned that the Swedish defender was the weak point behind the Old Trafford troops.

"Against Southampton, unless you witness the performance of central defender (Man United) while the goal is going on, they (Lindelof and the tandem, Harry Maguire) understand how dangerous the conditions are. But they are careless, as unresponsive, especially Lindelof, "said Ferdinand to BT Sport.

Ferdinand added, the two central defenders Man United should switch positions to protect the opposing striker. Ferdinand explained that the duet Lindelof and Maguire had not been maximized and still seemed confused to take over the decision.

"Players like Sol Campbell and Martin Keown at Arsenal forever witnessed players at risk and immediately took over the decision,"

"I'm starting to exclude Lindelof is now the object of Man United's opponents, especially for air balls. I get the feeling unless the opposing team now considers it a weak point, "concluded Ferdinand.
