The France vs Albania match started because of this error

The match between France and Albania in the European Cup qualification for the 2020 European Cup continued on Sunday (09/08/2019), with a delay of five minutes. The cause is an incident that was considered embarrassing by coach Didier Deschamps.

As usual, the national anthems of the two competing countries are still sung in all international matches. At the Stade de France, in front of France against Albania, mistakes occur during the visitors' national anthem. The committee instead played the Montenegro national anthem.

The Albanian national team refused to participate until the national anthem was played. The audience was disappointed with the committee. When the stadium MC announced that they would play a good national anthem, they also scoffed at themselves.

The incident was a stain in the 4-1 victory provided by the French national team against Albania. Didier Deschamps openly admitted his shame and apologized to all Albanians for the incident.

"I apologize to the technical team and (Albania) coach, our president to do it in the stands, something that should not have happened, but did happen" Didier Deschamps explained after the France-Albania match quoted by Football5Star.com du Figaro.

He added: "I understand the Albanian position, I apologize again and it makes sense to wait until we receive the right song".

Thanks to a 4-1 win over Albania, the French team was strengthened in the group of foster children from group H. Didier Deschamps has collected 12 points in five matches. That is the same as achieved by Turkey and Iceland, but they are superior in goal difference.
