Reasons that made Lorenzo very bad at Honda

So far, Jorge Lorenzo and Honda are getting closer to nightmares. Lorenzo is very low and he has never been this bad in MotoGP. What caused it?

Repsol Honda must have a qualified team when he entered at the end of last season, Jorge Lorenzo. His duet with Marc Marquez has made Honda a team with a collection of eight world-class MotoGP racer titles.

But when Marquez continued to win on the track, Lorenzo was just the opposite. In the first two MotoGP races in 2019, he could only finish 13th and 12th.

Until the last race that took place in England last week, Lorenzo could not enter the top 10. His condition is made worse by injury.

"It is true, it took longer for Lorenzo to adapt, unlike us or he predicted because of the racing style. That it was not easy for him to adapt to a Honda motorcycle, or provide the best bicycle for him," said Takeo Yokoyama, Repsol Honda Technical Manager.

The problem is getting worse because Lorenzo had an accident at the beginning of the season. He then suffered a serious injury which forced him to miss four sets.

"He has also been injured several times, and in terms of fitness, we hope he returns quickly, and although we also realize that he will not be 100% when he returns after a long time without a motorcycle, he is difficult to pick up speed."

"We want him to participate in the race again with motivation, to be part of this team, to give his opinion and to move forward," Yokoyama said.
