Ahead of the San Marino MotoGP, Petrucci is getting more tuned with his motorcycle

Danilo Petrucci said he was listening to the new arrangement of his bicycle. He hopes to get better results at the San Marino MotoGP.
At the start of the 2019 MotoGP season, Petrucci won the first podium at Mugello and finished third at Le Mans and Catalunya. He also competed with teammate Andrea Dovizioso in the race for second place.

But after the start of the second half, the Italian rider declined because he was only able to finish eighth in Brno, nine in Spielberg and seventh in Silverstone. His position in the standings also slipped to fourth place, losing to Alex Rins, who finished third.

Petrucci admitted that during the last race, his team had made changes to his bike. But the results actually make the performance less slippery on the track.

"In the last two or three races, we have made a number of changes that have really made the motorbike far from our best standard," Petrucci was quoted as saying by Autosport.

To improve his appearance when the MotoGP San Marino approached, Sunday (09/15/2019), Petrucci and his team have made various improvements to their media. As a result, in two training sessions at the Misano circuit, from Thursday, August 29 to Friday, August 30, he finished second.

The 28-year-old racer said the Ducati Desmosedeci motorbike had returned to the standard he wanted. He also became more confident to go fast on the track.

"At the training session this time, we had bicycle settings similar to the one I used at the start of the season, and I immediately felt better in the race."

"We fixed the braking of the motorcycle, which was a problem from day one," Petrucci said.

Improvements made, as well as test results, allow the race to compete this weekend.

"Most importantly, we have returned the motorbike to the expected standard, which obviously eliminates many previous doubts," he said.
