Piatek Talks About Curse Number 9 AC Milan Back

Since the Filippo Inzaghi era, AC Milan strikers wearing jersey number 9 have always been plagued. He doesn't seem to believe in curses. If he hasn't scored a goal this season, it's because of Italy's very strong defense culture. In fact, he considers that the Italian referee protects the defender more than the attacker.

"There are situations, like against Cesena [in a trial match], where the defenders hold me in both hands, like a fight," he added.

"It seems strange, in Italy, the referee protects the defender more than the attackers," he said.

Piatek can still try his luck to destroy eggs this season when AC Milan meet Verona in Serie A on September 16. The match was held at Verona headquarters, Marcantonio Bentegodi.
