Is it true that MU is now far weaker than Liverpool?
It is believed that Manchester United is not far behind Liverpool in terms of team quality. The condition of the team is not much different, the problem is only the quality of the coach, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Solskjaer started a revolution in Manchester United this summer, even though it wasn't optimal. He only received three additional players who were considered capable of solving the MU problem.
Therefore, talking about the strength of line by line, the MU team is considered not too bad. At least, this is the opinion of Michael Owen, who believes that MU already has valuable capital to compete with Liverpool.
However, Owen admitted that MU still had to do many things to maximize the potential of his team.
No weaker
For Owen, what distinguishes the team from the Liverpool squad is the experience of playing together in the same tactic. Currently, MU is still trying to better understand Solskjaer's style of play.
"I don't really think the Manchester United players are as bad as we judge them, I think when you see other teams, like Liverpool, it's a lot weaker than Liverpool, I don't think so." Owen told ESPN.
"However, do Liverpool players play with better understanding, cohesion, confidence?"
Speed team
The problem is that finding the best game takes time. It took Klopp four years to win the first trophy at Liverpool. Guardiola needs lots of money to change a big team.
Solskjaer is in a similar situation. Owen thinks MU just needs to find the best step.
"When you consider that the MU players have some great players, the manager [Solskjaer] doesn't seem to find the best speed, unlike Pep Guardiola's team or Jurgen Klopp's team at the moment.
"It will be interesting to wait for what Ole will do in this short amount of time," he said.
