Doohan Yakin Marquez Will Not Switch to Another Manufacturer
The motor racing legend, Mick Doohan, talks about the strength of Marc Marquez and Repsol Honda in the main MotoGP class. Doohan assess the Spaniard does not have a balanced opponent for now.
Seeing Marquez's dominance in the current MotoGP first class, Doohan even felt that the racer nicknamed Baby Alien was like racing in his own world. Seeing these conditions, Doohan believes that Marquez will continue to race with Repsol Honda.
In this 2019 MotoGP alone, Marquez has a great chance to retain his title. The 26-year racer was firmly at the top of the standings with a 78-point lead over Mission Winnow Ducati driver Andrea Dovizioso who finished second.
"No, I don't believe for a moment that Marc will switch to another manufacturer because he believes he has to prove himself. Marc knows about his expertise, so I think the combination between Marc and Honda will last for a while, "said Doohan, launching from the Speedweek website,
"A brand (Honda) might not have one at the moment that will be able to replace Marc, but Honda is a passionate company, they just want to win and they always want the best drivers," he continued.
However, Doohan also believes that one day there will be drivers who come and threaten Marquez's position at Honda. Even so, for now Doohan still sees that the Spaniard has no significant opponents and is still very dominant in racing with the Japanese manufacturer.
