Capello considers Lukaku not a world class player
Former Juventus coach Fabio Capello said that Romelu Lukaku is not a world-class player. However, he believes that Alexis Sanchez can make a difference at Inter Milan.
The Serie A competition has been running for two weeks. Until now, Juventus are still favorites to return to the championship.
However, Juventus must be aware of Inter Milan. La Beneamata is currently a serious challenger to Juventus under the care of Antonio Conte.
Inter currently inhabit the top of the Serie A standings after winning two wins. Capello also gave his opinion about the new Serie A competition that has been running for two weeks.
"The team that impressed me the most was Juventus in their first round against Napoli, but I was really disappointed with the Partenopei's defense. All the other teams played well in the first half and played poorly in the second half," Capello told Radio Deejay.
"I like Lazio, they performed quite well in both matches, after confirming the bottom of the squad last season."
Lukaku scored when Inter faced Lecce and Cagliari after being transferred from Manchester United. Even so, Capello does not consider the Belgian bomber as a world class player.
"Lukaku is a good player with good moves. He scored two goals, one penalty and another error from the goalkeeper. He is useful on the pitch, but not world class," he continued
Besides Lukaku, Inter also managed to bring Alexis Sanchez from Manchester United. The Nerazzurri are expected to give Alexis Sanchez his debut next weekend.
"He has quality and in some areas of the field, he can make a difference, if he wants," Capello said.
"It's like what Franck Ribery did for Fiorentina when he came off the bench against Napoli, he can use his speed."
