Back at Tottenham, Lo Celso deals damage
Bad news for Tottenham Hotspur after the international break. Giovani Lo Celso returns home due to injury.
Lo Celso was part of the Argentina team for friendly matches against Chile and Mexico. However, he could only play Chile once in Los Angeles last week.
Lo Celso was kicked by a Chilean player who played aggressively and tended to be rude. He even suffered several ankle attacks, including one by Charles Aranguiz.
As a result, Lo Celso must be withdrawn in the 53rd minute. Initially, Lo Celso met the fine requirements as an ankle condition. But according to the results of the examination of the Argentine doctor team, Lo Celso suffered a hip injury.
The injury forced Lo Celso home early and missed the match against Mexico on Wednesday (11/09/2019) this morning. The North London club did another check and it was known that Lo Celso would be away for six to eight weeks.
This means Lo Celso will lose many Premier League and Champions League matches. Even Lo Celso will miss the first three matches of the group stage against Olympiakos, Bayern Munich and Red Star Belgrade.
There are five Premier League matches missed, including the possibility of two League Cup matches. Lo Celso must play again against Liverpool on 27 October.
Lo Celso's defeat of course hurt Spurs because he will be one of the mainstays of midfield this season. Spurs were loaned from Real Betis with a permanent option at the end of the season.
