Attention, MU! Daniel James could be the next Adnan Januzaj

A warning was given by Mark Ogden to Manchester United. He considers that Daniel James has the potential to become the new Adnan Januzaj if he does not get proper treatment.

James, who recently moved to Old Trafford this summer, had an extraordinary career. He managed to score 3 goals in his first four matches with Manchester United.

This situation is similar to what happened with Adnan Januzaj during the 2013/2014 season. The young man was outstanding in his inaugural season, but his appearance faded in the following seasons before leaving Manchester United in 2017.

Ogden found that James tends to be the new Januzaj if he plays too much in his inaugural season. "They certainly don't want to have a new Adnan Januzaj on their team," Ogden told ESPN.

Play too much

Ogden believes that new young players like James should not immediately become United's first starter, because this can influence their development.

"Januzaj is an extraordinary talent, but he played too much early in his career, he played a lot and that affected him."

"The same danger will befall Daniel James, who is currently the team's top scorer with three goals and I'm sure he can have a good season, but remember he is still 21, he may be injured and he can also be exhausted."

Change system

Ogden believes that Solskjaer must begin to consider James's rotation so that the young man gets enough rest on his team.

"If Daniel James needs a break, who will replace him? The problem is that this team doesn't have good depth and doesn't have a lot of choices on his team."

"So, all they can do is sit Daniel James a few times and change their game system so he can rest." he said.


Strengthen the national team

Daniel James is currently in charge with the Wales national team for Euro 2020 qualification.
