So difficult that Arsenal did not win, Sokratis apologized

So difficult that Arsenal did not win, Sokratis apologized
Sokratis Papastathopoulos acknowledged his mistake and apologized for delaying his team to win points at Watford on Sunday (9/15/2019).

Arsenal did manage to surpass the two goals bought by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the first round. It seems that Unai Emery's adopted children will be brought home to Vicarage Road.

But Arsenal's performance in the second half dropped dramatically. The host also managed to catch up with goals from Tom Cleverley and Roberto Pereyra.

Sokratis Blunder

Watford's enthusiasm for shooting after Cleverley's goal in the 53rd minute used a fatal error made by Sokratis.

Receiving a short ball from goalkeeper Bernd Leno, Sokratis intends to give a flat pass to his colleague. Sokratis acted recklessly when the Watford players blocked the road from the penalty spot.

As a result, Sokratis's ball was stolen by Gerard Deulofeu, then used by Cleverley to score.

Sokratis forgive

After the match, Sokratis realized that he had made a fatal mistake. On his personal Twitter account, the Greek defender has apologized to Arsenal fans.

"This is not a good result for us today, I feel responsible for this result, so I apologize to all of you," Sokratis said.

"I don't like hiding and I will continue to work hard to achieve our goals," he added.

Arsenal are now waiting for a difficult match with a visit to the Bundesliga team Eintracht Frankfurt to play the opening night of the European League group stage.
