Losing Barcelona and Real Madrid, La Liga Against Super League Title

Spanish La Liga through the president, Javier Tebas voiced disagreement with the plan of the grand competition between the blue continent club titled European Super League.
In November 2018, Football Leaks claimed secret talks from a number of European giants, including Barcelona and Real Madrid to form a new league.

This league reportedly contains top European clubs and is named the European Super League. This competition is claimed to be starting to be held in 2021.

La Liga, which is now one of the top leagues in the world, has the potential to lose their two big teams, Barcelona and Real if the European Super League is played. Tebas also opposed the idea.

"We are completely against it [European Super League]. The format is different from the Champions League and will make the competition practically closed. The format will kill the competition," Tebas told Canal 11.

"From an economic standpoint it will only benefit big clubs, when we try to promote [more equitable] competitiveness," he added.

Furthermore, Javier Tebas also admitted that the English Premier League is still the best league in the world to date, ahead of La Liga.

"The Premier League has not had Ballon d'Or winners for years, but it still remains the best league in the world. It is a great job at many levels," said Tebas.

In the past decade the Ballon d'Or winners have indeed come from La Liga clubs. But the Premier League has the opportunity to end the note in this 2019 edition along with the success of Liverpool to become Champions League champions.
