Lionel Messi: I have no intention of leaving Barcelona

Barcelona striker Lionel Messi talks about speculation circulating about his contract at Camp Nou. Messi said he had not planned to leave El Blaugrana in the near future.
Messi's name has become an inseparable figure from Barcelona. The Argentine has always been a Barca goal machine in the last decade.

But recently it was revealed that Messi has a special contract clause at Barca. According to reports, he can leave Barca at the end of every season, where he doesn't need to pay any compensation to leave.

When you are asked for confirmation about the news clause, this is Messi's answer. "I cannot confirm anything because my contract agreement with Barcelona cannot be disclosed," Messi told Sport.

Messi only confirmed that he has no plans to leave Barcelona in the short term.
"What I can say now is that I want to stay in Barcelona as long as possible. I have said throughout my career that this club is my home."

"I also don't want to have a long contract at this club because I want it. I want to be at this club because physically I'm still good at playing in this team, and I want to remain part of this team."

Messi also did not rule out leaving Barca if he felt he could not win the title with the Catalunya team.
"I have said this before, I want to see this team have a winning team, because I want to continue to win titles with this club."

"For me, money or contract clauses don't mean anything. The only thing that motivates me to play is to have a winning team." he said.
