Ernesto Valverde doesn't want to be in a hurry. Play Lionel Messi

Ernesto Valverde from Barcelona said he would not be in a hurry to replace captain Lionel Messi, who is still recovering from injury.
This season, Messi did not appear for Barcelona at all because of the injury he suffered on the first day after returning from summer vacation.

Before the match against Valencia this weekend, news announced that Messi was ready to return to the match, whether in the match or when Barcelona will face Borussia Dortmund next week.

Valverde stressed that he did not want to risk playing Messi as soon as possible, if that would allow recurring injuries or even worse.

"The fact that he cannot play is indeed significant, I do not deny that. This is a decisive player, especially against a team that plays in defense," Valverde said, quoted by Marca.
"We hope he will come back soon and especially he will come back well because we don't want to come back," he added.

"We don't know whether he will be ready to play Tuesday [against Dortmund] or even longer," Valverde said.
Valverde also said the absence of Messi could be a blessing for other players, especially young players in his team.

"We will decide what seems best for us, we have to use the whole team and I think we have a team to do it," Valverde said.
"We have noticed the absence of Messi, but that could also be an opportunity for other players to advance."
