Twitwar Michael Owen contre Alan Shearer
London - The two oldest English players, Michael Owen and Alan Shearer, participated in a lively debate on Twitter. Both are noisy about the time at Newcastle United.
Owen was at Newcastle in 2005-2009. He joined the Magpies after failing Real Madrid in 2004 after leaving Liverpool.
Owen recently wrote a book called Reboot - My Life, My Time. In his book, he thinks his move to Newcastle is one of his regrets.
"My move to Newcastle is something I deeply regret, I should have followed my instincts from the start, I didn't want to go, my heart always wanted to go back to Liverpool," Owen reported, reported by the BBC.
Owen said the same thing in an interview with Mirror. And Owen's comments were sarcastic to Shearer.
"Yes, Owen, we also feel it by getting £ 120,000 per week," said Shearer, who was wearing a Newcastle uniform in 1996-2006.
