Solskjae Gives Guarantee on Tahith Chong

Manchester United's young winger, Tahith Chong spoke up about his chances in the Manchester United first team. Chong said that the coach had promised to give him more playing opportunities this season.
Chong is one of the players orbited by Solskjaer. He made his debut in the MU senior team last season, where he is still included as a substitute.

In the pre-season yesterday, the 19-year-old was pretty much given the opportunity to play by Solskjaer. But until now he has not played again in United's senior team.

But Chong revealed that the coach put full trust in him this season. "Ole asked me to continue to work hard and he promised that my opportunity would come soon," Chong was quoted as saying by Voetbal Primeur.

Chong also believes that his chance to play in United's Senior Team is wide open after several United attackers left Old Trafford this summer.

"I am very happy to hear Ole's words. There are some players who have left the club and I currently have a greater chance to play."

"In the end I have to do my best for myself. That is why I decided to stay at this club."

Chong also admitted that he was currently negotiating with United for the contract extension process, although he admitted that the negotiation process was still in the initial stages.

"Yes, we are currently discussing it [the new contract] but it is still too early to say anything about it."

"The season is still long and we will see what will happen later. There is a lot of competition we have to play and I will focus fully there." he said.

Chong will most likely play in United's first team this September.

Because the Red Devils will get a busy schedule, after they began participating in the Carabao Cup and the Europa League this September.
